Training great Dickie Small, who conditioned two members of the Maryland Thoroughbred Hall of Fame, has passed away.

Concern, the first Maryland-bred to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic, is one of two horses to enter the Maryland Thoroughbred Hall of Fame this year.

The Maryland Thoroughbred Hall of Fame today announced its 2014 class, adding Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Concern and steeplechase great Tuscalee.
