Laurel Park summer stakes schedule finalized

The summer stakes schedule at Laurel Park will feature 13 added-money events with another 14 – worth almost $2 million combined – in September.

This week’s Off to the Races radio will include Colonial Downs track announcer Jason Beem and Preakness-winning trainer Mark Casse.

Familiar names like Diamond King and Projected headline the G2 Monmouth Stakes and G3 Salvator Mile Saturday at Monmouth Park.

A filly brought a record $1.8 million during the Tuesday session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-old sale.
