PARX PICKS AND HORSES TO WATCH: NOV. 11
Parx Racing has a 10-race card on tap for this afternoon. Post time for the opener is 11:55 p.m., and we’ve got Parx picks.
|Race 9||3-6-8-5||Top choice #3 Flat Out Beautiful (3-1) didn’t have the best trip last out — outfooted early, he then was stalled in the stretch awaiting room. Once he found it, he came fast but too late, just missing second while closing best of all. He gets added ground today to a 1 mile 70 yard distance at which he’s won his last two tries, one at this level… #6 Bird King (5-1) makes his second start off a two-month break here, and, man, that was some kind of group he saw last time at Keeneland; three of them were stakes-placed (one graded), and the runner-up came back to win at Churchill… Another who may benefit from the added ground is #8 Ruby Bleu (8-1), a speedy sort who’s not fast enough to get the lead at sprint distances but may control it up front here… #5 Forest Fire (9-2) has run second two straight at this level but hasn’t won since taking the 2019 Maryland Million Classic — eight starts ago…|

He’s been first or second in three straight, and four back was running against the bias, plus he loves this 7-furlong trip… #9 Regal Quality (8-1) keeps running decent races against similar, could use a pace to run at… #11 Souper Fly Over (5-2), the morning line fave, ships in from Fort Erie, but we aren’t inclined towards short odds on him… The horse who’s made the most starts in a group full of tough runners is #6 Fire Mission (15-1), who’s made 88 of them and won 23 times. He gave an improved account of himself last time and is just a couple of additional starts removed from beating similar…|
