Parx Racing has a 10-race card on tap for this Tuesday afternoon. Post time for the opener is 12:55 p.m., and we’ve got Parx picks.

How’d we do last Tuesday at Parx?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 81-6-5-2We’re gonna give one more crack to the possibly misnamed #1 Talented Son (10-1), who hasn’t been quite the same horse this year to date as he was last. His lone good performance came three back when third in similar company at DEL behind two runners who’ve gone on to win allowance races. This one should site the right trip behind plentiful speed, if he’s good enough… #6 Great Go Go (7-2) didn’t get a sniff of the lead last time and packed it in early; has done best work on the engine, and the good news is he’s drawn outside other speed players today… #5 Breezy Gust (9-2) is another speed factor; the only concern is why he’s here today, as his recent work suggests he has a shot at winning an allowance race against open rivals… Another who’ll be running late and merits consideration for that reason is #2 My Danzig Partner (6-1), who’ll have to step it up…
Race 96-2x-5-2Easy win last out for #6 Blow the Whistle (7-2) should help the old confidence as he moves one step up the ladder and should have a chance to sit off the speed types and run on late… The speedy #2 King Koa (5-2) ran on more than willingly last time out in first start in six months, finishing a clear second behind a $375,000 Uncle Mo colt shipping down from SAR… Big effort last time out by #5 Celtic Treasure (9-5), who didn’t catch any breaks at all and still stuck with it ’til late; he makes his second start off a two-month breather… #2 Machtree (5-2) beat lesser last out while benefiting from a perfect trip off dueling speed types; may catch a similar setup today…
