RACE 1

1-7-3-2

Short comment line doesn’t do justice to trouble #1 Cyclobomb (7-2) experienced in last; look for improved try today… Use a first-timer in your exotics, as the field is full of horses that have had too many chances already at this level…

RACE 2 – IT’S ONLY MONEY STAKES

3-6-2-1

Speed of the speed #3 Dr. Feelgood (6-5) is 6-for-6 at this one-turn trip, at which he already owns two stakes wins; too good on best… Could be a Pickett double as #6 Hypothesis (10-1) is a two-time stakes winner himself, ran well enough last time, and tries elders for first time…

RACE 3

6-5-3-7

Ronney Brown-trained #6 Compound Interest (9-5) has been keeping better company than these at TAM and should appreciate cutback to 4 1/2 furlongs… Let’s give #5 Antagonizer (12-1) one more crack after disastrous try in last… Favored #3 Carthage (8-5) makes first start since Feb, has competed at level…

RACE 4

2-4-6-1

Of course #4 Amelia Bedelia (6-5) should win here off a perfectly useful return to action last time chasing the very good Parisian Diva to no avail, but let’s try to beat her all the same… #2 Lucille of Troy (6-1) came in fourth in that race — and was well behind the favorite — but gets Lasix for the first time today; trainer Brown is 4-for-6 giving horses Lasix for the first time, and this lightly raced Rvolutionary filly has plenty of upside…

RACE 5

4-1-5-3

Top choice #4 Lanesborough (9-5) made a bit of a middle move last time out versus similar, and trainer Javier Contreras is a wizard with horses second time off the layoff (34%, $5.72 ROI)… Favored #1 Barracuda (8-5) shifts into the Runco barn and gets blinks on…

RACE 6

5-9-8-7

Didn’t work out last time, but #5 Allegheny Dbl Lime (6-1) projects as the controlling speed once again in this spot in her second try with blinks on; she gacked up a huge lead last time and has to navigate an extra half-furlong today, but the value is there and perhaps she’ll be a bit fitter in her second two-turn try… Favorite #9 Run On Energy (2-1) takes a big drop out of allowance company; that day’s winner finished fourth in a stake in her follow up (behind the hard-hitting Anna’s Bandit)…

RACE 7

2-7-10-6

Both horses to run back from the last race of #2 Natalie (8-1) won next time out, including runaway winner Two in the Bush, who stepped up to win for $10,000… Trainer Kevin Joy adds blinks to the second favorite, #10 Zangarva (3-1), who showed little last out…

RACE 8

8-3-5-4

We’ll eat the chalk here with #8 Swiss Sunrise (8-5), who has won at the level and last out ran credibly versus a class-dropping winner; has speed but can sit off it, too… Let’s give a puncher’s chance to #3 New Beginning (10-1), who takes an appropriate drop after a poor try in allowance company; one of two in here for trainer Contreras…

RACE 9

6-2-5-1

There is a ton of early speed in this one-turn dash, and one of ’em could easily steal away with this (like #2 George Town Cat or #5 Unnamed Soldier), but we’ll try to beat them with just about the only horse ere who’s shown the ability to close: #6 Gorgeous Charli (12-1); poor recent form, but perhaps the freshening will help; he has been working gangbusters at PEN…
