Maryland Racing Commission adopts cobalt regulation

The Maryland Racing Commission today agreed to adopt the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium’s proposed cobalt regulations.

The Racing Medication and Testing Consortium (RMTC) has approved a threshold level for regulation of cobalt.

The Maryland Racing Commission on Tuesday decided that it would begin testing cobalt levels in horses, possibly a precursor to specific cobalt rules.
