Virginia Horseracing News halts publication

Virginia Horseracing News, the website founded by former Virginia Thoroughbred Association executive director Glenn Petty, has ceased publication.

Princess of Sylmar was named the Pennsylvania-bred Horse of the Year, the Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association announced.

Urbane, the grade 1-winning Maryland-bred mare who achieved similar success in the breeding shed, has passed away at age 22.
