Delaware Park has an 8-race card on tap for this Monday. Post time for the opener is 1:15 p.m., and we’ve got Delaware Park picks.

How’d we do last time at Delaware Park?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 44-7-5-3Pretty interesting group of horses on tap in this maiden sprint… The super well-bred #4 Allende (8-5) didn’t run a bad one on debut, setting fast fractions before tiring late to second. She’s by top sire Candy Ride out of the Hall of Famer Ashado, a Godolphin homebred… Second start for #5 Dance for the Gold (7-2), who’s by Medaglia d’Oro out of the Grade 1 winner Dance to Bristol. She broke slowly on debut, which put her behind the eight ball, but ran on willingly enough and can improve today… That may have been a much better NJ-bred race than you expect that #7 P J’s Ego (5-2) ran in last time; the winner’s a $400k Uncle Mo filly…#3 Bourbon Wildcat (8-1) makes career bow, is the first foal to run out of a four-time winner who earned over $100k…
Race 84-10-8-6Lot of ways to go in this two-other-than, and we’ll try to upset the apple cart with #4 Militiaman (6-1). A $400,000 Broken Vow gelding, he impressed when winning last out in his first try on the main track, taking over at will and winning by almost seven… #10 Super John (5-1) was well beaten two back in the Pegasus, but the top pair from that are both Preakness-bound; this one followed with a decent third in allowance company and can step forward here… #8 Skyscanner (15-1) was waaaayyyy up the track in the Pegasus but had a nice bounceback effort when winning against first allowance foes; note that last-out rider Adorno lands on #10… #6 Confessor (7-2) won versus similar — including Super John — last time…
