Saratoga’s third race on Wednesday, August 19th is the $100,000 Bolton Landing Stakes, named for the popular destination on beautiful Lake George in the Adirondacks. The lone mid-Atlantic entry is no stranger to Saratoga stakes this year, as she ran seventh in the Grade III Schuylerville Stakes back on July 24th.

Little Miss Miss, a Pennsylvania-bred by Mineshaft – Hey Carmen, by More Than Ready, defeated just two rivals at Parx Racing to break her maiden at first asking and then did not embarrass herself in making the large step up to Grade III competition in the Schuylerville.  Since the Schuylerville, she breezed a half-mile in 49 1/5 seconds on the Saratoga main where she was 39th of 75 horses at that distance. She picks up the services of Jose Ortiz in the irons.  Owned by Swilcan Stables and bred by Blackstone Farm, possibly the drop from graded stakes company to this $100,000 test will prove to be the right fit for the Butch Reid trainee. She is 15/1 morning line.
