IN A NUTSHELL: The latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association looks exactly the same as last week’s.  Wise Dan continues to lead the group with a perfect three-for-three seasonal ledger and received 25 of the 37 votes cast.

DEJA VU: This week’s top 10 may look familiar.  It is the same horses, in the same order, as last week’s.

WHO’S ON FIRST:  Five differen horses received at least one first-place vote, ranging from Wise Dan (25) down to Palace Malice (1).

ONE STRIKE AND…:  Palace Malice and Untapable both won their first four starts this season, all in graded company, before running poorly in a single Grade 1 event.  They are eighth and ninth on the list.

EXCEPT SOMETIMES: Moreno has a single win from six starts this year, and his season includes a 12th place finish in the G1 Metropolitan Handicap and a fourth in the G3 Pimlico Special.  He’s seventh on the list.

AGE AND SEX: The list includes four three-year-olds (Shared Belief, California Chrome, Wicked Strong, and Untapable) and two females (Close Hatches and Untapable).
