Skippylongstocking romps to Charles Town Classic win

Skippylongstocking went right to the front and never looked back to earn his biggest payday in the Grade 2, $1 million Charles Town Classic Friday.

On a day when speed killed, out-of-town riders said the key to Charles Town was having the right horse — including Charles Town Oaks winner Vahva.

Happy Like a Fool grabbed the lead early and never looked back en route to a six-length win in the Grade 3 Miss Preakness Stakes Friday at Pimlico.
