Replay: Today’s Off to the Races Radio

Off to the Races Radio powered by The Racing Biz returns Feb. 25 with an hourlong program focusing on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country.

Featured on today’s show:

  • Owner-breeder Amy Moore. The Virginia-based Moore owned the multiple stakes-winning mare Queen Caroline, and when that mare retired, Moore bred her to Violence. The result of that mating: 2022 Eclipse champion 2-year-old Forte, who is the early Kentucky Derby favorite and is scheduled to make his return to action in the March 4 Fountain of Youth.
  • Scott Wykoff, longtime reporter for WBAL Radio in Baltimore. Wykoff, a general assignment report, has worked in lots of coverage of Thoroughbred racing over the years and has some thoughts on the stories racing needs to tell.

Also: Darrell Wood joined us to discuss Virginia racing, and Derby Bill Watson was on hand to handicap the day’s biggest races.

Thanks to: sponsors including the Virginia Thoroughbred Association, Virginia Equine Alliance, Virginia Harness Horse Association, and others.
