Delaware Park has an 8-race card on tap for this Thursday. Post time for the opener is 1:15 p.m., and we’ve got Delaware Park picks.

How’d we do last time at Delaware Park?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 84-1-3-7Top choice #4 Jack Gave Back (4-1) didn’t show much on debut, but we’re going to draw a line through that one. On a sloppy surface, the Honor Code gelding was widest of all every step of the way and ran on a bit in the lane. He gets added ground today, perhaps a racing strip he’ll like better, and makes first start for new trainer Graham Motion. This one is a half to Grade 3 winner Fly On Angel… Decent effort last time out by #1 Shoulda Had It (8-1), who was under an absolute stranglehold around the first turn and stuck with it to be third. The runner-up, Alwaysinahurry, returned yesterday to graduate… #3 U S Constitution (2-1) showed improved speed on the stretchout and gets Lasix for the first time today. But trainer Ness is just 2-for-43 with two-year-old maidens getting first time Lasix… Offspring of young sire Not This Time have been winning in bunches so far, which gives the connex of #7 Omati (8-1) some hope. This one showed improved speed sprinting last time, tries two turns for the first time…
