How’d we do last Tuesday at Parx?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 64-5-1-3Let’s look for a mild upset in this two-other-than allowance with #4 I’m the Talent (4-1). This one ran a sneaky-good race last out in a state-bred stake here: she was the inside horse of a leading triumvirate in a race in which the top three finishers were fourth, fifth, and sixth after a quarter-mile. Of that lead trio, this is the only one who really stayed on until the end, finishing fourth while well clear of early speed rivals. Show horse Bronx Beauty returned to win the Regret Stakes at MTH… #5 Collegeville Girl (2-1) has been in good form on the main track of late, with two wins and a close-up fourth in a stake in her last three tries… #1 She’smysunshine (6-1) makes her first start in seven months, was stakes-placed a couple of times prior to going on the shelf… #3 Nth Degree (3-1) just missed against similar two back over a muddy strip but couldn’t muster much rally last out in the Regret…
Race 84-5-1-8#4 Puttheglassdown (3-1) has been away from the races since April and gets a new trainer in Kelly Breen, fresh off taking the Monmouth training title. When last seen, he took a two-other-than allowance two races back, which is a pretty good credential when dropping into a state-bred a-other-than. This one also has a good second in his only try over the strip, last November; the winner and show horse both came back to win their follow-ups from that contest… That was a heckuvan effort last time by #5 Brilliant Chase (5-2); he won a speed duel but could not contain the very talented Dreams Untold late in a race that was faster than a PA-bred stake on the same card… Not sure what happened to #1 Gravel Road (6-1) last time, but look for the rider to hustle him to the lead here; he competes with these on best… The formful #8 Septimus Severus (7-2) has won his last two on the main track by open lengths on the front end. He’ll need to hustle to get that spot today…
WAGERING…Both of these are solid betting events, so see where you think the value is.
