Delaware Park has an 8-race card on tap for this Wednesday. Post time for the opener is 1:15 p.m., and we’ve got Delaware Park picks.

How’d we do last time at Delaware Park?

RACE NUMBERHORSESCOMMENTS
Race 24That was a sharp debut for #4 Redeem Eddie (8-1). The Redeemed gelding went right to the lead and didn’t look back, setting fast fractions and drawing away in a race that was faster to five furlongs than a six-furlong two-other-than on the same card. This one looks to be speed of the speed and may have too much for this group… If not, or if he gets cooked up front, then you can go a whole bunch of ways. #5 Hauntedbymusic (7-2) has run pretty good races versus similar and should be happy to get back to sprinting… #6 Annamated Moon (9-5) has shown the ability to sit a bit off the leaders and run on… #7 Steadytillready (5-2) just missed versus similar last time and gets blinks on today…
Race 31, 2The Claudio Gonzalez-trained #1 Corn Off the Cob (9-5) crushed a-other-than foes two back and ran a pretty good second while clear of the rest last out; she’ll be happy to catch a fast track… No idea what happened last time to #2 She’s Achance Too (7-2), but we’re inclined to draw a line through it. Two back she absolutely crushed a two-other-than field, and runner-up Fly On Angel has won two straight since, including the G3 Charles Town Oaks. This one can be tough if she bounces back to that form…
. Race 43, 4, 5Sure seems like there are a bunch of speed horses in this contest, which suggests to us that a runner coming from off the pace might be the answer. Who’s that? #3C Savvy Ally (10-1) hasn’t run terrible races her last two, both on the main track, and has run well in her only two tries on the lawn versus similar at the Fair Grounds. Getting back to the grass moves her up, and her running style might just be perfect for this spot… #4 Spin Control (9-2) will have to work out a trip from the rail – yes, the rail – but the speed in the race might help in that regard. Her two-back effort against similar at GP is better than it looks; winner Lady Grace subsequently won a G2 race at Woodbine… Curious to see #5 Sethamee Street (8-1) in here. She showed promise early in her career and today tries the grass for the first time. The daughter of Street Sense is out of a stakes-winning turf mare…
WAGERING…A $1 Pick 3 with these will set you back $6.00.
