1. #12 Abientot (8-1) – Impossibly difficult field where many could win, but the pace could heat up quickly which sets up well for this closer dropping from a grade III
2. #11 Love Cervere (7-2) – May be better going a bit further, but has the running style to come from off the pace here with Joel Rosario and has good class
3. #2 Regalton (8-1) – Was very impressive in breaking her maiden last time out and can compete here with a repeat of that try even if she isn’t as classy as Laurice
4. #9 Luna Louska (6-1) – Too much speed to ignore, and even if she isn’t able to hang on late, this filly can still get a piece of the pie if she runs her best
Race 8 – Alw 95000n1x
1. #6 Iron Dome (7-5) – A dominant winner last time out at this distance, this colt will be favorite not only because of that race but also questions of others here
2. #10 Refuah (5-1) – Gets Irad Ortiz here and has good consistency even if he doesn’t end up winning, this one should end up closing into the mix
3. #3 Aelfgar (8-1) – Shipped in from Finger Lakes last time and ran a solid second at this distance, and clearly prefers going further plus has been in good form
4. #9 Jaa Mode (6-1) – Might not be in as good of form as Toga Dan, but can be competitive if he runs back to his form from last year at this distance
Race 9 – OC 100000n1x
1. #4 Maui Strong (7-2) – Drops from a grade III against Zulu Kingdom, so should improve this time around and may be better coming from mid pack here
2. #1 State’s Rights (3-1) – This Virginia bred will be running late but hasn’t had much pace to close into in his recent tries so could benefit if the early fractions are sharp
3. #7 Valuation Metric (9-2) – First time lasix for this Chad Brown runner who comes off a long layoff from a stakes win, and can be a winner if he builds off that try
4. #10 Candytown (8-1) – Gets a slight edge over Insubordination who drops from a grade III purely based on his impressive win last time at this distance
Race 10 – MC 50000
1. #5 Alittlebitnaughty (4-1) – Now in the Linda Rice barn, this filly by Oscar Performance finally drops into maiden claimers and gets back to her preferred surface
2. #8 Princess Summer (5-2) – Has been competitive in this class, but may need a bit more early pace to end up a winner here coming from off the lead
3. #6 Inamorata (6-1) – Didn’t show much in two tries on the dirt, but could step forward with the surface change and drops in class here off the bench
4. #2 Saratoga Snow (6-1) – Takes off blinkers and despite mostly being uncompetitive, this one was clearly better in her two tries at this distance
