Acting upon the recommendation of the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission (DTRC) veterinarians and stewards, Delaware Park has canceled the live racing card scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, July 25, due to the excessive heat.

The heat index is forecasted by the National Weather Service to be above 105º for the region. 

Live racing, which will take place Thursday, is then scheduled to resume on Saturday, July 26 with an eight-race program.
