1. #8 Grey Ace (5-1) – Finished behind Senor Poncho last time but may be best at six furlongs so cutting back in distance here could lead to a top effort
2. #2 Senor Poncho (5-2) – Gelding by Liam’s Map can win with a repeat of his last try and gets Irad Ortiz plus comes off a sharp four furlong breeze but removes blinkers
3. #9 Good as He Gets (7-2) – Drops from maiden company into this maiden claimer and gets back to what should be his ideal distance
4. #4 Stanley Cat (12-1) – Doesn’t have the upside of Araucano, but comes off a sharp bullet work and should be in the mix at this distance even if he doesn’t win
Race 8 – OC 75000n2x
1. #7 Proctor Street (2-1) – Good class and has run well at this distance with a win over this track last summer and is coming off a sharp four furlong breeze
2. #5 Tax Implications (8-5) – Chad Brown and Klaravich keep Flavian Prat on this mare who may win purely off of class relief, but may need some pace to aim at
3. #3 Goats On a Tree (10-1) – A winner of three straight, this filly offers more upside than Mo Fox Givin if she continues her recent form
4. #1 Malleymoo (9-2) – Off a longer layoff but has the form to finish in the mix here even if she typically fades in the late stretch
Race 9 – Curlin Stakes
1. #7 So Sandy (6-1) – Not as talented as Strategic Focus but should be better value and has chances if he builds off his last effort where he showed major improvement
2. #3 Strategic Focus (6-5) – The most likely winner in a field full of questions, but still takes a step up in class here and only has two tries under his belt
3. #4 Hypnus (9-2) – After some disappointments on the Derby trail, this colt by Into Mischief has put forth two strong efforts in his last two and should be running late here
4. #2 Fountain Lake (12-1) – With the others disappointing in their recent tries, this colt has at least shown ability to run well from multiple spots with good trip versatility
Race 10 – Clm 35000n2L
1. #3 Rohan (10-1) – Good value for this colt who has won his only try at the distance and typically picks up ground in his stretch runs against this class
2. #7 Right To Win (3-1) – Won upon dropping into maiden claimers last time, and has the speed figures to be a winner here plus has strong connections
3. #6 Doomed (5-1) – Brad Cox and Flavian Prat team up with this gelding by Volatile who has shown improvement and has real winning chances with this continued trend
4. #2 Via Della Spiga (8-1) – Took a clear step forward in his switch to turf last time and can compete with that type of performance against this class
