- POST TIME: 12:35 p.m.
RACE 1
5. H C Holiday | Enters off a win and should get a good trip |
3. Divine Armor | Late-running sort easily won when last dropped into beaten company but lack of early foot a concern in a race that doesn’t project to be super-quick early |
1. Jacohare | Seems to have rounded back into form |
RACE 2
4. Dark Dutchess | Useful enough return to action in latest and has decent turf outings to run back to; bug rider Del Fabbro with four wins to start the meet |
8. Sweet Summer Love | Return to more appropriate company a plus in third off the bench |
7. Wudhooh | Gets third different trainer in as many starts and arrives off a clunker versus better, but best is good enough |
RACE 3
2. Brightness | Drops to lowest level; didn’t run terribly in latest behind 4-5 Into Mischielf filly making debut |
6. Winnie’s Dash | Decent try in latest after breaking out and bumping rival |
1. Dina’s Touch | Gate issues haven’t helped this miss, but if worked out, she could take a step forward; gets 10-pound bug Vargas |

RACE 4
9. Salted Carmel | Well spotted to get second win after rallying to front before ceding against better; has run nothing but good races on turf |
4. Homer Jones | Good trip in latest but never could get by winner |
3. Fast Joker | If he can carry dirt form to turf, he’s a player here; Practical Joke not a great turf sire (8% turf routes) |
RACE 5
3. Viking Queen | Thrashed similar last out and should get simiilar mid-pack trip here |
4. Liam’s Kiss | Last couple aren’t good but return to best puts her in the mix |
5. Vodkatini | Might be controlling speed but doesn’t need the lead |
RACING NOTES
- With 13-1 Mach Two Blue and 10-1 Old Bay winning the fifth and sixth races, respectively, both the middle Pick 5 (races 3-7) and late Pick 5 (4-8) carried over. The late Pick 5 will carry over to today, but with just seven-race cards today and tomorrow, the middle Pick 5 will not be offered. The late Pick 5 carryover is more than $11,000…
- Trainer Victor Carrasco, Jr. won twice, taking the opener with Muthabir ($3.20) and the nightcap with Ritabook ($16.20)…
RACE 6
3. Knockanara | Good-looking score with something in reserve |
4. Enzo | Finally graduates after several near misses; makes third start off the bench |
6. Bolt From Above | Late-running sort has kept better company |
RACE 7
2. Skylar’s Brother | Should already have graduated two back but interfered with a rival he was going past in deep stretch; should sit right off the pace here |
1. Global Phenom | Improved tries in most recent pair and likely to be on the engine |
7. Code Name Chance | First-timer is a half to a first-out winner and doesn’t have to be a world-beater to contend |
