Replay: Saturday’s Off to the Races Radio

Off to the Races Radio, powered by The Racing Biz returned March 16 at 10:00 a.m. The one-hour radio show, which is presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance, returns for its 26th season.

The program focuses on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country and will air each Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on ESPN Richmond (106.1 FM) and via livestreaming. Starting in late March, the show will air simultaneously on ESPN Harrisonburg (106.9 FM and 1360 AM). And during the summer race meet at Colonial Downs, the program will expand to two hours.

The show will run through November 2.

The program combines tips and advice on betting horse racing, news from the sport, and interviews and conversations with major racing newsmakers.

Saturday’s show hosts Nick Hahn and Frank Vespe welcomed in Gillian Gordon-Moore, Andrew Beyer, Dave Rodman, and Darrell Wood. Gordon-Moore is a new member of the Virginia Racing Commission. Beyer, the legendary creator of the Beyer Speed Figures, is a longtime handicapper and analyst. Rodman, the track announcer in Maryland, helped to handicap the stakes Saturday at Laurel Park. And Wood caught listeners up on all things Virginia.

Off to the Races Radio is presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance.
