Off to the Races Radio: February 24 lineup

Off to the Races Radio, powered by The Racing Biz continues its 26th season of talking Thoroughbred racing Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10:00 a.m. The show will air for one hour each week on ESPN Richmond.

The program focuses on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country and will air each Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on ESPN Richmond (106.1 FM) and via livestreaming. Starting in late March, the show will air simultaneously on ESPN Harrisonburg (106.9 FM and 1360 AM). And during the summer race meet at Colonial Downs, the program will expand to two hours.

The show will run through November 2. Each show will feature a mixture of interview segments, handicapping of the afternoon’s races, and news.

On February 24, hosts Nick Hahn and Frank Vespe will welcome in trainer Kenny McPeek and racing advocate Debbie Easter. McPeek, who has won both the Preakness and the Belmont, has two runners, including 5-1 contender Northern Flame, entered in Saturday’s major stop on the road to the Kentucky Derby, the Grade 2 Rebel at Oaklawn Park. Easter is the executive director of the Virginia Thoroughbred Association, the state’s horse breeders group, and president of the umbrella Virginia Equine Alliance.

Off to the Races Radio is presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance. In addition to the real-time ways to listen to Off to the Races, each episode will also be archived on The Racing Biz (www.theracingbiz.com).
