Race #1 Picks: 3-4-6-2
Race #2 Picks: 4-5-2-1
Race #3 Picks: 6-9-5-3
In this optional claiming/starter allowance race at about 7 ½ furlongs on the turf, #6 Gunslinger (5-2) is a horse for the course with five straight wins at Delaware Park. He is a speedball who will try to take them gate to wire. There is some speed in this race, so he will have company up front, but we think he will have enough to win today. #9 Sovereign Warrior (8-1) will be able to take advantage if the speed falters. He will lay off the pace and look to make a move in the final furlong. #5 Prairie (9-2) is making his first start at Delaware after running very well at several other tracks this year. His speed figures are solid, and he fits very well here. #3 Sandy Lane Kitten (6-1) has 4 wins in 10 tries at Delaware Park and was running very well before a 60-day break. Could be dangerous if ready.
Race #4 Picks: 2-5-7-1
Race #5 Picks: 1A-5-6-8
Race #6 Picks: 2-7-6-4
Race #7 Picks: 5-2-6-1
In this optional claiming/starter allowance race for fillies and mares at about 1 1/16 miles on the turf, #5 Memphis Showboat (3-1) was competitive at Gulfstream before moving to Delaware. She faced some tough competition in last where she flattened out to finish 5th. This mare looks ready to run a big race and we have her on top. #2 Riveting Spirit (2-1) has won two straight since the move from Gulfstream. Will be stalking the pace and looking to move late. She has 5 wins in 17 lifetime starts and is a top competitor. #6 Mahkato (6-1) has not regained the form she had at Delaware Park last year. However, we know she likes the turf course here and she might turn it around today. #1 No Sniveling (10-1) has been running well recently and should be in the mix.
Race #8 Picks: 2-1-4-6
