RACE 1: STARTER OPTIONAL CLAIMING $35,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 MILE (GRASS)
10-2-7-8
#10 Mischievous Twins (9-5) made her tenth career start her first win last out, making a strong move from off the pace to win a fairly salty maiden claiming affair with a career-best brisnet figure of 86. She looks like she’s getting better all the time for Jamie Ness, who’s improved this filly’s figure with each start. #2 Caprichosasinfront (9-2) certainly outran her 132-1 odds two starts back in the George Rosenberger Memorial Stakes at Delaware Park last out, closing from dead last to grab fourth. She was beaten 1 1/4 lengths by Mopo, who returned to win the Maryland Million Ladies last Saturday. #7 Khokela Miss (5-1) outkicked Mischievous Twins to break her maiden two starts back in her third race off a seven-month layoff. She’s also bound to make a late impact.
RACE 2: CLAIMING $7,500 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 FURLONGS
3-7-5-4
#3 Fayes Heart (6-5) was well-beaten by heavily favored Sometime in each of his last two starts, finishing second by five lengths behind him last out. There’s no one of that rival’s caliber here, making this one’s job much easier. Fellow Jerry Robb trainee #7 Make It Quick (8-5) cleared his non-winners of two condition in dominant style in his most recent race, and was second while racing on the disadvantageous part of the track two races ago. Xavier Perez was named on both Robb horses, and opted for this one. #5 Pediatrician (6-1) stepped up in class to starter optional claiming company going a mile last out. He got caught up in a contentious pace and faded, but now drops in class and cuts back in distance, both of which should help him get back to his best self.
RACE 3: RATINGS OPTIONAL CLAIMING (<75), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 5 1/2 FURLONGS (GRASS)
1-10-7-8
#1 Bushido (9-5) went gate-to-wire twice on this track earlier this year, and ran a game race in a washed-off affair last out. He’ll make the lead from the inside draw, and looks determined enough to hold on in spite of whatever they may throw at him. #10 Apollo Ten (5-2) has loads of backclass, having won the My Frenchman Stakes at Monmouth Park in 2024, and finishing third in the Mahony Stakes at Saratoga next out. He hasn’t raced much since then, but he chased gamely against much better when last seen at Tampa Bay Downs in March. Miguel Clement has begun to click with his Laurel runners, including a win here on Thursday. #7 Jungle Glow (7-2) was an off-the-grass winner last out in his first race off the Jamie Ness claim. He’s won three out of his last four grass races, with his only defeat in that stretch a near-miss in a blanket finish at Colonial Downs.
RACE 4: MAIDEN CLAIMING $12,500, 3-6 YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES AND MARES, 7 FURLONGS
11-10-5-3
It looked like tenth time would be the time for #11 Hurricane Lynn (2-1) last out, as she set the pace and fought gamely. She was ultimately worn down and lost by a neck in a blanket finish, but it was yet another big race on the lead from this filly, who’s been pounding on the door for a while. The only serious deterrent is her far outside draw. #10 Dreams to Sell (9-2) was well-bet in her career debut on grass, but didn’t want to go in the date and proved no factor from there. She still ran a respectable 65 in that race, and has a chance to improve on the class drop and surface switch. #5 Woman Enticed (20-1) made some ground to get fifth at first asking in February, and looks for a rebound after a dull try first off the bench on grass last out.

RACE 5: STARTER OPTIONAL CLAIMING $12,500, 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 5 1/2 FURLONGS (GRASS)
8-1-5-4
#8 Wonder Girl (1-1) ran a career-best 86 when fourth against much better last out. She’s run at least a 76 in each of her seven starts this year, something most of these struggle to do. She should easily handle these, though you won’t get much of a price. #1 Sugar Bee (7-2) won at this condition two races ago, and also drops back in class after finishing seventh behind Wonder Girl in her most recent try. She rode the rail to victory in that two-back victory, and will likely try a similar strategy here. #5 Naughty Favors (8-1) hasn’t won this year, but has a decent closing kick and is pretty dependable for a small share.
RACE 6: MAIDEN CLAIMING $35,000, 2-YEAR-OLDS, 6 FURLONGS
1-2-11-12
In what looks like, in my view, a completely blank field, I’ll give #1 Jerry Inspires (20-1) a shot. Trainer Phil Capuano always does well with first-time starters, Forest Boyce has had a strong meet in the saddle, and he’s from a win-early family on the sire and dam side. #2 Konrad’s Corner (8-1), another first-timer, has been working stronger and stronger for the Robby Bailes contingent, and is by Blofeld, a win-early stallion. #11 Tony Stark (12-1) languished far behind for most of his debut, but did show a bit of late interest, suggesting a perk-up at second asking is in the works.
RACE 7: RATINGS OPTIONAL CLAIMING (<65), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 1/16 MILES (GRASS)
4-1-8-10
#4 Sleepwalker (7-2) has run exactly a 77 in each of her three starts this year, including a fifth-place effort against better last out where she got outkicked. Her closing speed should play better against this softer group. #1 Syngergism (5-2) finished a solid pace-compromised third at Colonial last out, in a race where the top two at the opening quarter-mile point never wilted. The winner, Americandreammaker, is a five-time winner on the season who’s hit the board in her two most recent races. Second-place finisher Let’s Dance Again was second to the promising Unwavering Monarch, outfinishing Sleepwalker, in her next start. #8 Mrs. Katz (8-1) has some speed in a race without much of it, and could find herself unchallenged on the front end and get the other two in trouble once again.
RACE 8: RATINGS OPTIONAL CLAIMING (<65), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 MILE
2-9-8-6
#2 Kiss Me Mo (5-2) demolished the field as the 7-10 choice to break her maiden in her tenth try last out. She’s run an 84 and an 88 in her last two races, making her the only one in the field to run in the 80s in each of her last two races. She also has, by far, the best early pace figures in the race. She looks poised to make the front and not look back. #9 Ineedyoubabe (9-2) was the only one to make up much ground at this condition last out. She came from fifth and managed third behind Kissedbyanangel and Dyna Soar, who were first and second, respectively, the entire way. She might find herself in a similar spot behind Kiss Me Mo this time, but has enough kick to outfinish the rest and round out the exacta. #8 Braquet (20-1) came up empty in her last start at Penn National, but was in consistently solid form prior to that, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see her bounce back and pull off the upset.
RACE 9: ALLOWANCE (N/W1X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 MILE (GRASS)
11-2-4-6
#11 Patrol Squad Six (5-2) was beaten three lengths at this level at Ellis Park last out, while lacking room in the stretch. He’s worked well since joining the Mike Stidham barn in early September, and will try to work out a trip off the pace in the clear. #2 Kalea Bay (6-1) won in his third start off a 19 1/2-month layoff last out, and now makes his grass debut in his first start off the Jamie Ness claim. If he takes to this surface, he’ll be hard to beat, but it’s, of course, no guarantee. #4 See Thar Bar (5-1) went off as the slight favorite in a bit of a better field than this one at this condition last out. He rallied wide late, but ended up beaten 1 1/2 lengths while running in the 80s for the fourth consecutive start. He’ll likely make a similar move and get another slice this time.
RACE 10: MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000, 2-YEAR-OLDS, 1 MILE
4-7-1-2
#4 Igaming (3-1) debuted going 1 1/16 miles in his last start, and showed some late interest up the inside to grab third. Any sort of improvement second time out would make him especially tough. #7 Bagley Cut (20-1) broke slowly and closed well at first asking. Last out, he showed speed and faded. He’s adding blinkers here and is likely to show speed again, and could at least hang on for a share at a big price. #1 Uniqueness (6-5) has already run in the 60s four times in his seven-race career, squarely in the range he needs to be in to win. However, he’s already burned lots of money, and is likely to take plenty of it here as well.
