There’s one Friday stake at Saratoga, and one Midlantic-bred to tackle it:

Maryland-bred Joint Custody — just off the leaderboard for the Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred/The Racing Biz Top Midlantic-bred Poll — will head up the Northway to try his luck in the $100,000 Curlin Stakes, for three-year-olds that have not won a graded stake at a distance greater than one mile this year.  The gelded son of Outflanker-Paying Off, by Malibu Moon has won five of 11 career starts, three in stakes company.  His most recent win came in the off-the-turf Stanton Stakes at Delaware Park and snapped a four-start losing streak.  He’s trained by Jerry Robb for Konrad Wayson and was bred by Janet Wayson.
