Red Ruby dazzles in G3 Delaware Oaks triumph

Favored Red Ruby blitzed the G3 Delaware Oaks field by 13 lengths in an effortless performance Saturday at Delaware Park.

A solid group of 10 is slated to contest the G3 Delaware Oaks on Saturday topped by Black-Eyed Susan winner Red Ruby.

It was five years between graded stakes wins for trainer Kellyn Gorder, who scored today in the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes with Red Ruby.

One horse is “sort of like a fish.” The other has a hard-to-say name. Both delivered the goods — and plenty of smiles — Saturday at Charles Town.
