The winter storm that hit the Mid-Atlantic region this week, blanketing it with snow, sleet, and freezing rain, has forced Charles Town Races to cancel live racing for the second consecutive night.

A part-time horse racing bookkeeper at Penn National stole over $700,000 from the company, state police allege.
The track announced the cancellation on Twitter. Live racing is scheduled to resume Friday with a 10-race program. The 2020 season concludes Saturday evening with another 10-race card.
