Delaware Park unveils 75-day schedule
$4.3 million stakes sked includes Del Oaks, Derby, and DelCap

June 13, highlighted by the Grade 3 Delaware Oaks and the $300,000 Delaware Derby, and a September 26 card featuring the Grade 3, $500,000 Delaware Handicap anchor Delaware Park’s 75-day live racing schedule, the track announced today.
Delaware’s meet will kick off on Wednesday, May 13 and conclude on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The track will host 28 stakes this year worth a combined $4.3 million. In addition to the Oaks and DelCap, the slate includes one other graded event, the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial, which will take place on the Oaks/Derby undercard. The Oaks/Derby card drew a Delaware record of nearly $6.5 million in all-sources handle in its 2025 bow.
The schedule also includes eight events restricted to Delaware certified runners and two others limited to runners with prior ’26 starts at Delaware Park.
Closing day features two stakes, the $200,000 Endine for older fillies and mares and the $100,000 Wilmington for three-year-olds and up. Both are run at six furlongs.
The track will offer horsemen stabled on the grounds May starter bonuses in an effort to bolster early-season field size. In dirt races with at least eight starters and turf events with at least 10, horsemen stabled at Delaware by April 30 will qualify for a $1,200 bonus ($1,000 to the trainer and $200 to the owner), while horsemen arriving after April 30 will qualify for $700 bonuses.
The bonus shrinks to $500 for smaller fields.
Delaware will run on a Wednesday-Thursday-Saturday schedule in May and June, with exceptions, and then run Wednesday-Saturday in July. From August through October, the track will race Thursday-Saturday. For full details, visit the Delaware Park website.
