This $16,000 claiming race for N3L at a mile and 70 yards on the turf is void of any early speed. The only horse that has shown any ability to run early is #9 Ingreido (10-1). This longshot should be able to get the lead, and all the plodders may not be able to catch him late. Low-percentage jockey and trainer are concerns, but if they get a win at Delaware this season, it might very well be today. #2 Clever Fellow (5-1) has run several good turf races this year. He is a very slow starter but will be making a late rush and passing tired horses late.  #3 Be Yourself (9-2) is another closer who will be running late. Should get a piece of the pie if he can get off to a decent start.  Given the pace scenario, it might be tough for #4 Unorthodox (5-2) to get the money in this spot, but he should be running late.

Race #8 Picks: 5-4-2-1

In this $12,500 claiming race for N3L at one mile 70 yards, #5 Branco Maria (3-1) has run well against better and is now taking a class drop. He seems to be the class of this group and we have him on top.  #4 Jack Gave Back (8-1) is also taking a class drop and has shown some ability at a higher class level. This looks like a very good spot for him. #2 Tough Tickets (4-1) is coming in from Parx and making his third start after a long layoff. He has shown early speed this year and could improve today. #1 Lifespan (8-1) has run some good races this year and should be competitive with this group.
