ANALYSIS

We’ll take the 9-2 morning line on #6 My Juba (9-2) for trainer-owner-breeder James Casey. The sophomore Juba filly faces her elders for the first time but catches a somewhat middling group. She won a never-won-three allowance last time, rallying to get the nod under Darius Thorpe, who has the return mount… #3 Cedar’s Wish (6-1) tired on the slop last time out but has the speed to be a factor here… #2 Feel the Love (4-1) has outrun long odds in each of her last two, including a win at 26-1 two back. She seems to be on the improve and finished just behind morning line favorite #4 Heretodaygonmanana (2-1) in each of their last starts…

Race 5

7-6-8-2

You can’t fault a thing that #7 Hot Fudge Sonde (5-2) has done in his career. He’s never been worse than second in six career starts and has won three of those. He’s tactical enough to be up close early if the pace is moderate and tenacious enough to run on from farther back, as he did last time out. That win gave trainer Jamey Johnson his only win to date this season; tonight could be his second… Veteran #6 Opera Nite (8-1) continues to run good races at age seven, winning two back and just missing against similar last out… We’ll see the seasonal debut of #8 Fancy Concho (2-1) here. The Tim Grams trainee was the late-running runner-up in the WV Onion Juice Breeders’ Classic last fall and is a stakes winner. The bad news is he’s working on an eight-race losing streak and will make his first start in three months here… #2 Candy Invasion (12-1) was a pretty good third at the level two back and makes his third start of the season here…
