- Overnight Pow Wow turns tables in Its Binn Too LongA stumbling start left Overnight Pow Wow at a rival’s mercy last time out, but the 3-year-old filly turned the tables in Saturday’s Its Binn Too Long.

| Race 3 | 6-5-1-7 | The Paynter filly #6 Misty Mauve (8-5) ran a good one to be second on debut locally while a mile ahead of the rest. She gets Lasix on today, and even a repeat of that last probably would be enough in here… #5 Paper Mansion (8-1) gave willing chase to Alrashaka in her debut before settling for third, and that runner came right back to win a local allowance. She had no answers last out when well behind our top choice and others, but we’re inclined to give her another crack; she showed a bit of promise in that debut… #1 Martini’s Amica (4-1) might benefit from a bit of an easier group after getting throttled in a maiden race at Aqueduct… Middling sort of debut for #7 Frieder Fanatic (6-1), who owns the right to improve in her second start… |
| Race 5 | 6-1-3-4 | Nice-looking debut for the Tyler Servis-trained #6 Perfect Day (5-1), who crushed maidens at Penn National by over five lengths. That looks to have been a plus group that he beat: four of eight to run back won their follow-ups, and a fifth was runner-up. This one gets Lasix on for his second career start… The well-bred #1 Mr. Sandman (5-2) looked good graduating last out in his fourth try; he’s a half to multiple graded winner Call Paul and stakes winners Maythehorsebwithu and Pink Caddy. Lasix on today… It wasn’t a great outing last time for #3 Crabs N Beer (4-1) when seventh in the Maryland Juvenile Championship, but we’re not inclined to judge that too harshly. The Laurel Park track was playing pretty quirky that day, and the top pair, at least — Joe and Alottahope — look like real runners… Improved effort for #4 Southern Runner (9-2) in the Parx Juvenile, who passed a couple late to earn fourth… |
