The winter storm that hit the Mid-Atlantic region this week, blanketing it with snow, sleet, and freezing rain, has forced Charles Town Races to cancel live racing for the second consecutive night.
- CT: Crystal Veil makes it a clean sweep in Casey Mem’l
Crystal Veil ran the table Saturday, winning the James and Eleanor Casey Memorial to go 3-for-3 in WV-bred stakes for 2-year-old fillies at CT.
The track announced the cancellation on Twitter. Live racing is scheduled to resume Friday with a 10-race program. The 2020 season concludes Saturday evening with another 10-race card.
