Saturday’s Race for the Ribbon at Charles Town includes five Win and You’re In Races for next month’s West Virginia Breeders Classics (WVBC) – and excitement is mounting.
Total handle in the mid-Atlantic region fell 25 percent in August versus July, and the daily average was off by nearly five percent.

The resurfacing of Charles Town’s racing strip – already troubled by the discovery of rocks in the surface – is being further delayed by steady rain the last two weeks.
Because of issues with the track surface, Charles Town will not run either of the cards scheduled for this weekend.
