Delaware Park picks and analysis: August 7, 2026

  • CARRYOVERS: None
  • POST TIME: 12:20 P.M.
  • NUMBER OF RACES: 9

RACE 1: 7-5-6-8

#7 Let’s Have a Party just missed in latest at this level and distance two back and could sit a good trip for a barn that’s having a sneaky-good meet… Likely favorite #5 Concealed Carry makes his second start in the Ness barn; he’s not far removed from efforts that win here, though his last couple are just so-so… #6 Midnight Onyx gave an improved effort last out and makes his second start in the Pecoraro barn…

RACE 2: 6-5-4-3

#6 Seeking Unity makes his second start off the bench and arrives off a dominant victory against beaten rivals… #5 Kick Startness is likely speed of the speed and will be tough to reel in if he gets loose; drops after three straight tries when protected… #4 Final Drama drops after a couple of off-color outings…

RACE 3: Off the turf

Picks: 8-2-5-4

RACE 4: 6-2-4-7

#6 Aggro has been a bit outfooted early in her last couple but ought to be able to be in striking range throughout in this (on paper) paceless race… #2 Sugar Princess should appreciate getting back to two turns and is the only three-time winner in the field, even if we’re not entirely sold she was as good as the 58 Beyer two back would suggest… #4 Cheese rallied nicely to win last out despite a wide journey…

RACE 5: Off the turf

Picks: 3-5-9-4

RACE 6: 6-4-2-9

#6 Fairfield Bay will hope to close into a pace; ran a stinker last out but prior form would win here… #4 Tall Cotton arrives off a front-running win… #2 Good News Rocket hasn’t run great in three-life company but might appreciate getting to two turns…

RACE 7: Off the turf

Picks: 4-5-1-8

RACE 8: 6-4-3-5

#6 Sweet Honey Bee arrives in good form (first and second in her last two), might be speed of the speed, and is drawn outside, so rider Gomez can play the break and put her where he wants… #4 All I Do is making quick work of her conditions and makes her third start off the bench… #3 Sister Carlie is a consistent sort for a barn that had two winners yesterday…

RACE 9: 7-6-1-2

#7 Paintmymasterpeace drops again after a dismal outing, but two back at Penn he was a pretty good third and certainly has some tries that’ll win here; trainer Magee wins a third of the time on similar drops in maiden company… #6 Ray of Lov got a perfect trip in latest and couldn’t quite seal the deal but was game in defeat… #1 Little Jerry had a decent debut and owns the right to improve…
