Race #1 Picks: 2-1-3-4

Race #2 Picks: 2-7-3-1

Race #3 Picks: 8-2-1-9

Race #4 Picks: 3-2-6-5

Race #5 Picks: 4-2-1-6

Race #6 Picks: 2-3-1-5

In this starter/optional claiming race at 1 1/16 miles, #2 Goodluckchuck (5-2) is a speedball who won at today’s condition at Timonium in August. Kieron Magee tried him against better in last in a race that favored closers and he ran fifth. Now back to a condition where he has had success and we have him on top, #3 Welling (6-1) is another Kieron Magee-trained gelding who is coming from Maryland. He has been running well and ran second in his only try at Delaware Park last year. A contender. #1 Bumperdoo (9-5) has won four of his last six starts and is in excellent form. He will be laying just off the pace and trying to catch the frontrunners late. This entry with Frosted Indian be Jamie Ness’s final starters in another very successful meet. #5 Prairie (8-1) will make his second try since moving from the grass and he has been running well. A horse with some early speed.

Race #7 Picks: 1-5-2-3

In this allowance/optional claiming race for two-year-olds N3L at six furlongs, #1 Howgreatisnate (9-5) has won both his lifetime starts, the most recent being the $100,000 First State Dash Stakes. There is not a lot of early speed in this race, and he should take control early. He looks easily the best in today’s field, and his performance today in his third lifetime start will give us a clue as to how much more potential he has.  #5 Bright Forecast (7-2) is rounding into form and was game last time, winning by a nose with a 73 speed figure. If he can improve off that effort, he will be right in the mix today. He looks like the biggest threat to Howgreatisnate. #2 Evey’s Candy surged in last and just missed passing Bright Forecast. If this closer can get a better start he could be a trouble for the other contenders today. #3 R B’s the Boss (8-1) has won his last two in Maryland and his speed figures keep improving. He could surprise.

Race #8 Picks: 1-5-3-7
