Race #1 Picks: 1-2-3-5

Race #2 Picks: 4-2-7-3

Race #3 Picks: 6-1-4-3

In this $25,000 starter/optional claiming race at one mile and 70 yards, #6 Loose Ends (5-2) looks like the one to beat here. He just missed last time when he broke late to finish second by three-quarters of a length. He’s getting a jockey switch to Angel Cruz, who has won 6 races in 25 tries at Delaware this meet. We look for him to stay closer to the lead than he did in his last try and to make a late passing move.  #1 Shoot Themessenger (5-1) ran some good races over the summer but has been dull lately. His last two poor efforts were on muddy tracks. If he can get a fast track today, he should be able to compete with this group. #4 Union Fleet (6-1) got off to a slow start in last and ran fifth. We look for him to improve off that effort and be in the mix today. #3 Deep Faith (3-1) won and ran an 85 figure in last.  Will be dangerous if he can repeat that effort.

Race #4 Picks: 4-2-1A-6

Race #5 Picks: 8-2-7-1

Race #6 Picks: 4-5-2-7

Race #7 Picks: 1-6-3-4

In this $44,000 first-level allowance race for fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles, #1 Cashing Big Checks (9-5) ran in a couple Delaware certified stake races earlier this summer. She then tried the turf for three races, and this will be her second try since returning to dirt.  She got caught in a speed duel in last and was edged out by a half-length, but beat the third-place finisher by almost 11 lengths. We think she will get clear today and defeat this field.  #6 Tiz Herself (7-5) has won four in a row and five out of her last six. There is no reason this good form won’t continue, and we look for her to run well again. #3 Intrepid Dream (10-1) has not run in over a year but she has been working well, and Gary Capuano usually has them ready after a long layoff. #4 Abby the Bull Dawg (6-1) ran second last time and seems to be learning how to race.

Race #8 Picks: 6-4-3-7
