Delaware Park to postpone DelCap card

In the face of this weekend’s impending Nor’easter, Delaware Park has decided to cancel its Saturday card.
The card will be moved in its entirety to Saturday, October 3, the track said in a message to horsemen.

The Saturday card was to have featured the Grade 3 Delaware Handicap along with three other stakes: the Battery Park for older runners and the Rocky Run and White Clay Creek for juveniles. All were scheduled on the main track.
In a text message to horsemen delivered late Friday morning, the racing office said:
HORSEMEN: Due to the Noreaster and expected high winds, we are cancelling Saturday 9/26 and moving the card in its entirety to next Saturday 10/3.
