A former Penn National clocker who falsified workout times will plead guilty to one count of wire fraud and cooperate with the government under a plea deal.
A federal judge last week dismissed charges against trainer Samuel Webb, accused of wire fraud in an alleged “horse doping” case.
On Friday, officials arrested three trainers and a clocker at Penn National. Also on trial: racing’s ability to police itself.
Three trainers at Penn National and an employee of the track have been arrested and indicted for fraud.
