Maryland Jockey Club chief Mike Rogers today reported “great progress” on fixing the Laurel Park track, with racing Jan. 16 a possibility.

Parx Racing has canceled its Tuesday, January 11 race card because of the weather.

Laurel Park will not race Friday or Saturday, pushing back the resumption of racing until Jan. 16 at the earliest, the track told horsemen today.
