In the $75,000 Dover Stakes for two-year-olds, #2 Sea Devil has given good accounts of himself in both starts to date, running second in an open maiden at Monmouth on debut and then thrashing a state-bred field at second asking, beating easy next-out winner Time to Groove in the process; added ground here should help, and we love that he’s shown the ability to pass horses already; hot-riding Gil takes the call… #3 Seven’s Nitro leads the Gary Capuano duo, and though this one made his bow against claiming rivals at Laurel in June, boy, he looked good doing it, cruising up outside rivals to win going away in a race that has produced a next out winner; could give the bug rider Rosario his first stakes win… #5 Snowhomish dominated maiden claiming rivals in his debut, winning by 8 1/2 lengths in a race that was considerably faster than a maiden special later on the card; will be wheeling back on short rest if posting, and the jock-trainer combo is 5-for-11… #6 Mi Corazoncito is cross-entered here and in a maiden at CNL; the Happy Saver offspring have shown little to date, but only a handful have run, and the half-siblings have been 0-for-5 first time out; but the Gallegos barn is having a very good meet, and this one’s been training well enough; should offer value if going postward…

In the $75,000 Blue Hen Stakes for 2-year-old fillies, the Gary Capuano-trained #5 Whitten Way was ultra-impressive on debut, winning over next-out victor Cha Cha Baby by a couple, and that runner was a mile ahead of the rest; this miss was up close the pace early and still managed to fly home, getting the last furlong in 11.92 seconds; she looks like she could be a serious racehorse… #7 Witchy Vibes, a $150,000 Epicenter filly for John Servis, prevailed in a racelong duel in her debut, inching away in the final furlong to win by two; she’s a half to graded stakes-placed runners Opry and Candace O… #3 Olivia’s Legacy might fly under the radar a bit with the softish Beyer speed fig, but that race looks better and better, as two of three to run back won their next, and the third, Martiniwithatwist, graduated two starts later and is here; sat off it and prevailed, and added ground shouldn’t hurt at all… No trainer does better work with babies than Cal Lynch, who sends out Jersey-bred maiden winner #4 Tiz Tapping, geared down late in her graduation score…
