Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races has canceled its Wednesday card because of what the track called “extremely cold temperatures.”

At the track’s 7 p.m. post time, the temperature is predicted to be 17 degrees, falling to 13 by 10 p.m. Wind chills will make it feel as if it’s in the single digits all evening.

Live racing typically would resume Thursday at 7 p.m., but the track release said that track officials “will continue to monitor the forecast” and will decide Wednesday whether to run Thursday.

Charles Town previously canceled its Jan. 24 card, as did other East Coast tracks.
