Foxy Junior looks to add to stakes haul in Mrs. Claus
A dozen fillies and mares will face off in Wednesday’s $75,000 Mrs. Claus Stakes at Parx Racing, capping the 2025 season.
The Mrs. Claus is the third stake of the Wednesday card and sixth of the racing week at the Bensalem track.

The Mrs. Claus, contested at seven furlongs, has attracted five stakes winners among its contenders, including morning line favorite Foxy Junior (5-2). The Bernie Houghton trainee, a three-time winner over the strip, won the Twixt Stakes at Laurel Park three back for her fourth stakes win.
She enters off a win at Parx and will have regular pilot Jomar Torres up.

Alani (4-1) won Parx’s Cornucopia Stakes last out for her second stakes win of the year. Runner-up Mega Mil returned to win next out, and three of Alani’s beaten rivals are signed on for this contest. Regular pilot Andy Hernandez is named.
Trainer Juan Carlos Guerrero will bid for the upset Wednesday with Boutwell Time (5-1), a winner of two straight versus lesser but a combined total of nearly 20 lengths. Jeriel Catala will ride.
Two races prior to the Mrs. Claus, three-year-olds and up will contest the 1 1/16-mile Kris Kringle. Benjamin Dunn trainee Double Your Money, who has finished in the trifecta in 14 consecutive races, including five wins, is the morning line choice.
Other contenders include Ballezzi Appreciation Mile winner Point Dume (5-1), Turkey Trot winner Call Me Fast (9-2), and last out winner Wild Vine (6-1).
In the $75,000 Blitzen for three-year-olds and up going 7 furlongs, Maximus Meridius (5-2) and Buccherino (3-1) square off. The former, trained by Butch Reid, won the Let’s Give Thanks last out and guns for his third stakes win of the year and fourth in his last nine starts.
The latter finished second by a half-length last out in the Grade 3 Bold Ruler seeks his fifth career stakes win and fourth over the strip. Trainer Alfredo Velazquez will leg up Angel Cruz.
Tuesday’s card features three races for two-year-olds: the six-furlong Miss Behaviour for PA-bred juvenile fillies and the Parx Future Stars and Future Stars Filly Division.
In the Future Stars, Mailata (5-2) heads a three-horse battalion from trainer Butch Reid’s barn. Mailata, a winner of two straight, arrives off a win in the Pennsylvania Nursery but is cross-entered in the Jerome Saturday at Aqueduct, which offers Kentucky Derby points to the top finishers.
In the Future Stars Filly Division, Brittany Russell will send out the morning line favorite. That’s two-time winner Tap Into Grace, runner-up last out in the Blue Mountain Stakes at Penn National.
In the Miss Behaviour, trainer Josue Arce will send out 3-1 morning line choice Crown Royal Babe, who finished fourth in the Shamrock Rose in her most recent start.
