1. #3 Delightful Claire (6-5) – Dominant in her recent nine length win, this filly by Thousand Words will win here if she repeats that effort
2. #5 Long Neck Paula (8-5) – Consistent finisher who has struggled to win, this filly should be up on the lead and is a good play at this distance
3. #4 Stone Smuggler (8-1) – Off a long layoff from December, this filly has good class but faces a tougher group here and needs to run her best to win
4. #1 Flat Out Time (10-1) – Comes off a sharp workout and has a bit more upside than Rojo Rita and Praying as she showed improvement last time out
Race 8 – Mdn 100k
1. #8 Ima Big Bad Wolf (6-1) – Has a strong workout pattern for Brad Cox as one of the less heralded starters in here by Practical Joke who produces good sprinters
2. #5 Akkadian (10-1) – Chad Brown debuts this colt by Good Magic who should be in good form here at seven furlongs against a pricey field
3. #6 Dragones (5-2) – With a $1.7 million price tag, this first timer by Gun Runner for Winchell Thoroughbreds will certainly take money with Asmussen and Santana
4. #10 Grittiness (9-2) – Colt by Curlin didn’t show much in his debut, but still has plenty of promise and should improve here for Repole and Pletcher second time out
Race 9 – Alw 110000n1x
1. #4 Shoot it True (5-2) – Three straight bullet works and was impressive last time out in a win, giving this filly a slight edge over the rest of this field where many could win
2. #1 Dangherecomesshang (8-1) – Can win with a repeat of her last race, as Wesley Ward saddles this filly and Shoot it True and has a good chance with both
3. #12 Miriam’s Fire (12-1) – Off a long layoff but drops from a grade III and would be tough to ignore if she can return to form from her first try
4. #5 La Salvadorena (8-1) – Briland has yet to try turf and Tales of The Heart has had chances at this distance and class, leaving this filly who is good at hitting the board
Race 10 – Grade II Flower Bowl Stakes
1. #7 Be Your Best (5-2) – Could be in control of this race from the jump, and has an advantage here if she sets slower fractions at this distance
2. #4 La Mahena (2-1) – Obviously loved the yielding surface last time, but was too good in that Glens Falls win to pass up here even if she is unlikely to repeat that try
3. #5 In Time (15-1) – Steps up in class but has been in the mix frequently with her best efforts coming over this track and is strong at the distance
4. #2 Amber Cascade (10-1) – Nearly a stakes winner last time in her first try on turf, this Maker trainee stretches in distance and has some undiscovered upside here
Race 11 – Grade I Spinaway Stakes
1. #5 Percy’s Bar (6-1) – Her recent win showed that distance should be no issue, and she might get the right set up with a faster pace and many who want to close
2. #4 Mythical (5-2) – Won’t be able to win at this distance with the same early fractions as her Adirondack, but is still the fastest filly here and unbeaten in three tries
3. #1 Ornellaia (9-2) – With a price tag of over one million, this filly certainly showed up in her first try and should be running late regardless of the pace set by Mythical
4. #8 Tommy Jo (2-1) – Meringue ran well in the Adirondack and threatens if the pace collapses, but this filly was impressive in her debut with an effortless move mid turn
Race 12 – OC 75000n2x
1. #7 Whatchatalkinabout (3-1) – A grade III winner two back, this gelding wins at the distance if he repeats one of his top tries here for Wesley Ward
2. #4 Surveillance (7-2) – Heavily raced gelding is still in good form and can finish in the mix at this distance with good back class even if a few others have more upside
3. #2 Rookie Card (7-2) – Has been alternating good and bad performances recently, but is a win contender with a top tier effort plus has been working well
4. #5 Acoustic Ave (8-1) – Good at hitting the board at this distance for Linda Rice, and now off the bench with his last try off a layoff being one of his stronger efforts
Race 13 – Alw 110000n1x
1. #5 Debt Limit (3-1) – Adds blinkers and is the most likely in an evenly matched field where many have a chance, and can win with improvement off his last try
2. #7 Irish Gent (10-1) – Has some upside in his second race off a long layoff for Pletcher, and should appreciate the added ground if he sits off the leaders
3. #8 Rothschild (10-1) – Hasn’t won in two years, but has more back class than most here and gets back to a better distance this time around
4. #12 Main Beach (9-2) – Adds blinkers and figures to be a bit more involved than Ramblin’ Wreck who has left himself too much ground recently
