RACE 1: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 MILE
- #2 – Solomons Gold (9-5): Florida invader makes his first local start for Kieron Magee; he led gate-to-wire two starts back, and a repeat of any of his races over the past 12 months wins this.
- #6 – Morning Thoughts (2-1): He’s been scratched three times since his last race; if he’s finally ready to go, he has good speed figures and will sit a nice trip.
- #5 – Pudge Boy Palace (9-2): Rallied well and just missed on opening day; looks to move forward second off the layoff.
RACE 2: CLAIMING $5,000 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 4 FURLONGS
- #4 – Red Candy Apple (5-1): Another Florida shipper; this one’s early speed makes him a serious threat in this half-mile dash.
- #2 – Not So Holy (4-5): Scratched last Saturday as the favorite and resurfaces here; he also has early speed and a good post.
- #6 – Issano (7-2): Take out his dismal last effort at Delaware Park and he’s a serious contender.
- #6 – Celtic Pride (3-1): Should be sent for speed from the outside post.
RACE 3: MAIDEN CLAIMING $12,500, 3-6-YEAR-OLDS, 4 FURLONGS
- #5 – Head of the Class (1-1): There’s lots of speed to his inside, but he looks fast enough to outrun them and draw away from there.
- #6 – Warrior’s Notion (4-1): Almost wired them last out at Presque Isle Downs.
- #1 – Northern Cardinal (7-2): Looks to improve in his second start off a 9 1/2-month layoff.
RACE 4: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #2– Cloud Music (4-1): Got caught on the lead in his last few starts, but this field looks soft enough to steal.
- #7 – Mister Agent (9-2): Has lots of upside and the time off since late May probably did him some good.
- #1 – Southern Horse (3-1): Finished second to overwhelming favorite Kerness on opening day; this is a much, much easier spot.
RACE 5: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 4 FURLONGS
- #3– Swift Tap (8-5): Showed speed and faded going longer in his last few, but should be able to last at this short distance.
- #4- Callin My Name (3-1): Should also be gunned to the lead from Swift Tap’s direct outside.
- #6– Stellars in Charge (7-2): Won here last year under similar circumstances.
RACE 6: ALLOWANCE (N/W1X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, MD-RESTRICTED, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #2 –All the Hardways (2-1): Looked promising over the winter but went to the sidelines following a fifth-place effort in the Miracle Wood Stakes; this is a good spot to return in.
- #5 – Cattivo Ragazzo (7-2): Will need a well-timed ride, but just might get it from sharp-riding Yedsit Hazlewood.
- #3 – Addy’s Laddy T N T (15-1): Won three times over the winter and spring in MD and makes his first start off a two-month freshening.
RACE 7: ALLOWANCE (N/W1X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, MD-RESTRICTED, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #1 – Foggy Dew (9-2): Set honest fractions and held on to the lead last out at Charles Town; we may not have seen his best yet.
- #7- Great Quality (7-2): Won last out at Delaware in gate-to-wire style in his third race off a nine-month break; another one who looks to be hitting his best stride.
- #6 –Square Slice (4-1): Except for a very dull race three starts back (his only race between March 2024 and July 2025), any of his last several races seriously contends here.
RACE 8: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #2– Kissling (2-1): He’s won three of his last four dirt races and can win from on or off the pace.
- #5 – Little Bit Risky (5-2): Won a stretch duel last out at Penn National; he and Kissling are the only runners in this race with more than two victories.
- #7 – Banditsgoldenchild (9-5): Will look to stalk and pounce from the outside.
