RACE 1: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 MILE

  1.  #2 – Tetched (4-1): Won going a route of ground last out, and was Arnaldo Bocachica’s pick of the two Anthony Farrior trainees.
  2. #6 – Barong (7-5): Won easily last out and is in sharp form, but hasn’t raced beyond seven furlongs.
  3. #5 – Sandini (2-1): Led all the way two starts back at Penn National and will employ a similar strategy here.

RACE 2: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 6 1/2 FURLONGS

  1. #4 – Watch Your Tone (7-5): Hasn’t won in a while, but runs consistently solid speed figures and gets to face a soft bunch.
  2. #2 – Peace Out (12-1): Raced disastrously at Charles Town last out but was in sharp form prior to that race; a threat if she can rebound.
  3. #1 – Forgotten Gift (3-1): Has the most early speed of anyone in the race and is a serious gate-to-wire threat.

RACE 3: CLAIMING $5,000 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 6 1/2 FURLONGS

  1. #1 – Bella Cativa (8-1): Broke her maiden easily here last Saturday; hoping to strike while the iron’s hot.
  2. #6 – Nancy Mary (1-1): No threat against better in her last few races, but should be at home against these.
  3. #4 – Melancia (7-2): Finished in the top three in her last five dirt races and has early speed.

RACE 4: STARTER ALLOWANCE $5,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 MILE

  1. #4– Baby Sox (6-1): Won twice over the winter at Laurel Park but went to the sidelines after a poor effort in February; might need a race off the bench, but her best wins this.
  2. #1 – Vodkatini (9-5): Easy winner at Delaware Park last out will likely sit off the pace on the rail.
  3. #2 – More Ransom (2-1): There’s a few of these who like to race on the lead, but he has the most speed of the group.

RACE 5: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING (N/W1X), 2-YEAR-OLDS, 6 1/2 FURLONGS

  1. #2–Irish Jubalee (8-5): Easy maiden winner at Charles Town last out will try to build off of that impressive effort.
  2. #3- Tricks R for Juba (2-1): Set the pace and fought hard to break her maiden on debut last out.
  3. #1 – Edy’s Flame (12-1): He’ll hope for a fast early pace to close into.

RACE 6: MAIDEN CLAIMING $40,000, 2-YEAR-OLDS, 4 FURLONGS

  1. #5 – El Papacito (5-2): Showed speed and faded in his last few starts, but now cuts back to four furlongs, where speed is all you need.
  2. #2 – Garage Beers (2-1): First-time starter for the Farrior barn commands respect.
  3. #4 – Go Lang (9-2): Got bet on debut but showed little; you have to figure he’s better than that performance, and you’ll get a much better price today if you believe.

RACE 7: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING (N/W1X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 1/2 FURLONGS

  1. #1 – Heard On Thestreet (5-2): Finished second in each of his last four races, but he lost to better horses than the ones he’ll see today each time.
  2. #6- Brother Conway (2-1): Looks like the main speed in this race.
  3. #4 –War Master (9-2): He’ll be coming from well off the pace and his late kick should be enough for at least a share.

RACE 8: ALLOWANCE (N/W1X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, MD-RESTRICTED, 1 1/16 MILES

  1. #2– Dazzy (7-5): Faces a soft field for the level, and should handle these without drama.
  2. #5 – Meg (3-1): Finished third despite some traffic trouble last out; has some early speed and could be tough if left along on the front end.
  3. #1 – Sherunsthistown (10-1): Ran second to a loose leader at Charles Town last out; she had no chance to win given the circumstances, but still ran about as well as possible.

RACE 9: MAIDEN CLAIMING $40,000, 3-6 YEAR-OLDS, 4 FURLONGS

  1. #1– Built by Khozan (3-1): Has speed on the rail and gets class relief.
  2. #7 – Bernie the Star (5-2): Loves to come in second or third at short odds, but if he’s ever going to win, it’s probably going to be today.
  3. #2 – Joel’s Boy (12-1): His 0-for-23 career record isn’t inspiring, but he’s been in solid form lately and makes his third start off a layoff.
