ANALYSIS

Major players in this contest all will be forwardly placed early, which might be good news for #8 Theladyistrue (9-2). Draw a line through her last, when she was unprepared at the start, and her prior form is plenty good. Couple that with the trip she ought to get a couple lengths off the lead and a prior win on a wet track, and it all looks pretty good… The speedy #1 Snowy Juba Cat (3-1) has done very little wrong, with four wins and seven total ITM finishes in nine career outings. She might be speed of the speed, but she likely won’t have it her own way, what with #6 Fancy Her Up (2-1) likely pressing just to her flank. The latter was beaten only two lengths in the Blue N Gold on WVBC night…

Race 5

5-6-9-4

Gotta think that the return to 4 1/2 furlongs should set up #5 Van Hook (5-2) to graduate. She just missed going 4 1/2 on debut before backing up going two turns… First-timer #6 Sparkleinyoureye (5-1) has a nicely improving work tab, and trainer Jones attracts Mendez in the irons; that combo’s winning at a 23% clip at the meet… Any time Runco shows up with a firster, it’s worth a look, and that’s true of #9 Barbers Point (7-2). The Congrats filly has been training forwardly and gets go-to rider Bocachica in the irons…

Race 6

3-2-5-7

Not sure he’ll get the setup he needs, but #3 Late in the Game (9-2) enters in good form. He just missed second on WVBC night, followed that up with a dominant allowance score and has been one-two in his last six allowance tries… #2 Epic Time (5-2) has been making short work of his conditions and likely will knock this one down tonight or next time out… #5 C R’s Uncle Lino (6-1) needs a bounceback effort after a couple of off-color outings…
