Race #1 Picks: 5-2-6-3

In this $12,500 claiming race for N3L at one mile, #8 Illustrious (7-2) has been very good since moving to Delaware in July with three wins in five tries and a win over similar last out. This gelding is in good form and we think he will handle this group. #7 Mr. Boldacious (4-1) has been running well and will take a small move up in class today. This horse is improving and we think he’ll be right in the mix.  #5 War Cross (6-1) is coming back from a layoff, but has been working well and has faced tougher competition than he will face today. If he is ready, he could be dangerous. #3 Lifespan (10-1) has some decent races. Seldom wins but often figures in the exotics. 

Race #6 Picks: 4-1-3-5

Race #7 Picks: 1-9-7-4

In this first-level allowance/optional claiming race at 6 furlongs, #1 Penetrator (7-2) has a lot of early speed and will be making his first start on a fast track at Delaware. He ran evenly on the turf in last and is moving back to the dirt. He was facing tougher at Monmouth and if he can return to that form, he will be a top contender today. #9 Band on Tour (6-1) ran poorly in his first race after being claimed by the Jamie Ness barn. Now moving down to a level where he will be competitive. Has been working well and we think he will improve. #7 My Man Vito (3-1) has been running well in routes, now trying a sprint where he had some success earlier this year. His frontrunning ability should help him at six furlongs. #4 It’s Sizzling Time (9-2) has some strong recent speed figures and fits well with these.
