Delaware Park to move up weekend post time

A special 12:15 p.m. first race post time has been set for the final two live racing days of the season, Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, at Delaware Park.  The earlier post time was set to coincide with the Breeders’ Cup cards being simulcasted from Keeneland.

With four days remaining in the live racing season, trainer Jamie Ness will secure a record eight straight leading trainer titles.  The 48-year-old native of Heron, South Dakota will break the record held by Hall of Famer Grover “Buddy” Delp who won seven in a row from 1963 through 1969 and equaled by Scott Lake who accomplished the feat from 2002 through 2008.

Ness currently has 61 victories giving him a commanding 29-win lead.

Jockey Jaime Rodriguez will notch his second consecutive leading jockey title.  He currently has 130 victories.

The leading owner title is a three-way race between Bell Gable Stable with 14 wins, Runnymoore Racing with 14 wins and the ownership group of Danny Brown, Charis Brenneman and Greg Compton with 13 wins.

First race post time will be 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2 and Thursday, November 3.
