ANALYSIS
It could be a chalky outcome in this state-bred allowance dash, as #7 Thunder Kitten (9-5) looks like a major player. He graduated two back, and while his follow-up was just so-so, note that it was at 6 1/2 furlongs. He’s cutting back here to 4 1/2, the distance at which he graduated impressively. Breaking from the outside, rider Antonio Lopez should be able to eyeball what the rest of the field is doing and get into good position… #4 Manhattan Weave (8-1) arrives off a maiden win and switches into the Farrior barn. Seems like a vote of confidence that he’s jumping this one up into allowance company off a maiden claiming victory, and Farrior has a strong record first off the claim… #3 Entry Time (2-1) keeps churning out pretty good races and looks like a major player in this spot…
Race 7
1-3-5-6
Top choice #1 Ellies Lil Castle (4-1) has knocked down all of her state-bred conditions and now tries her hand against open company. Her speed figs say she fits with these, and she’s won each of her last two 4 1/2-furlong races when she left from the rail, including last out… Morning line favorite #3 Canvas Art (3-1) looks to get back to what she flashed when winning smartly at first asking. She stopped badly going 6 1/2 furlongs last out, but she was right there with a furlong to go. Making her third start off the bench, she has the right to bounce back to her better form today… #5 Cousin Winnie (9-2) cleared the state-bred never-three hurdle last time out and is drawn outside the horses who look like the major speed here…
