Race #1 Picks: 1-4-2-6

In this optional claiming/starter allowance race at 1 1/16 miles on the turf, #3 Artie’s Angel (5-2) won a race at Monmouth against $30,000 claimers two back with an 80 speed figure. Getting Paco Lopez on top again, who was aboard when he won that race. If he can repeat that race he could finish on top. #4 Recycle (6-1) will make his third start back after a long layoff. Showed some early speed in last before tiring. He needed that race and should be better today. #12 Lightning Rod (9-2) has shown some ability at this level but has not been able to win since his maiden victory. He is not facing any monsters today, and this will be his first try at Delaware Park. If he can get a good start on the Delaware turf, he’s got a shot. #1 Lukie Dookie (8-1) is an improving 3YO that could be in the mix today.

Race #7 Picks: 4-3-1-6

In this $44,000 allowance race for N3L at 5 1/2 furlongs, It’s hard to go against the favorite, #4 Growl Tiger (7-5), who is making his debut at Delaware Park.  If he can repeat any of his previous races, he should take the top spot today. There is a question about his fitness as he has only run two races in 16 months. We have him on top, but we won’t take him below 2-1 because of this fitness question. #3 Omaha Red (3-1) has run four strong races in-a-row and fits very well here. He should improve in his second start over the Delaware surface. #1 Riley’s Dude (8-1) is the only horse with any closing ability and will be there to pick up the pieces if the speed crumbles. He has a chance to shock today. #6 Chief Ron (8-1) is an honest horse that always puts in a good effort. Could get in the money.
