Race #1 Picks: 3-4-2-1
Race #2 Picks: 1-2-5-3
Race #3 Picks: 4-3-11-7
Race #4 Picks: 6-5-4-2
Race #5 Picks: 11-9-6-1
Race #6 Picks: 6-1-4-5
In this optional claiming/starter allowance race for fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles, #6 Battle Cry (9-5) was running well against Florida-breds at Gulfstream. Trainer Victor Barboza has started red hot at Delaware and we think this horse has a good chance to get the top spot. #1 Hashtag Lucky (8-1) is the speed of the race and is taking a class drop today. The others may be trying to track her down in the stretch. #4 Award Wanted (5-2) is another horse with early speed who almost won at this level running 6 furlongs in last. Now stretching back out to a route, which might help her. To my eye closers have not been faring very well so far this meet but #5 Breviary (7-2) is a pretty good one. If the horses on the front end falter, she will be there to pick up the pieces.
Race #7 Picks: 3-8-6-9
In this optional claiming/starter allowance race for fillies and mares at one mile and 70 yards on the turf, #3 Thisnameisokay (9-2) was impressive when leaving the maiden ranks in last. This young filly may use that race as a springboard and improve again, and we think she has a good shot to win again today. #8 Style (8-1) is trying the turf again after several dirt tries. She ran very well on the Delaware turf last season and is getting some class relief today. #6 Zoomed In (7-2) is getting some class relief as well after trying tougher at Laurel. She should be right in the mix with this group. #9 Closertotheheart (5-1) had a decent race at this level at Laurel in last and will be a factor if she repeats that race.
Race #8 Picks: 10-7-3-1
